Maintenance
OSWS’s objective of plant maintenance is to achieve minimum breakdown
and to keep the plant in good working condition at the lowest possible cost.
Machines and other facilities should be kept in such a condition which permits
them to be used at their optimum (profit making) capacity without any interruption or hindrance.
Preventive Maintenance
Preventive maintenance is essentially an established routine of periodically inspecting equipment, noticing small issues, and fixing them before they turn into major problems. The goal of preventive maintenance is nothing breaking down, or zero downtime. OSWS is using a Computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) schedules for maintaining the assets.
Corrective Maintenance
One of OSWS’s aim to reduce Corrective maintenance to assets by providing effective preventive maintenance, unlike breakdown maintenance, is focused on regular, planned tasks that will maintain all critical plant machinery and systems in optimum operating conditions. All the critical asset monitored by Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition is a computer control system that is used to monitor and control plant processes. Corrective maintenance report will include the root cause analysis of the breakdown or failure to prevent same in future by taking necessary actions and improvements.
Predictive Maintenance
OSWS believes that predictive maintenance is a real game changer for us an operation and maintenance management. “There’s a lot of power in moving unscheduled maintenance into scheduled maintenance, and we’re firmly convinced that it will improve our readiness and improve our combat capabilities by doing so. The systematic diagnosis is achieved using the condition monitoring tools such as Vibration Analysis, Thermography analysis, Ultrasound Analysis, and motor current signature analysis.
