Aqualia landed in Oman in 2018 with a contract signed with Majis, the operator company of water facilities in Sohar Port, a gigantic industrial complex to which Majis supplied with chlorinated, drinkable, and desalinated water, and in which it treated effluents from multiple industries of different sectors: metallurgical, petrochemical, electric, drinking water producers, container terminal, etc. The new Joint Venture formed by Majis and Aqualia, which already manages jointly the facilities that previously operated only Majis, forms an alliance for water efficiency and sustainability in assets operation thanks to a PPP (Public-Private-Partnership) scheme agreement.
